From December 27 to 29, 2024, Wang Zhanpeng and Chen Li were invited by the Global Humanities Research Institute of Nanjing University to attend the "Origins and Evolution: Irish Literature Conference" at the Suzhou Campus of Nanjing University. Experts and scholars in the field of Irish literature gathered together, jointly discussing the origins and evolution of Irish literature under the new cultural background, and took this opportunity to discuss new models of academic development and network construction. 

Professor Wang Zhanpeng spoke on the topic of "The Evolution of the Northern Ireland Issue after Brexit: Reflections on the Future of the Irish Nation", introducing the latest dynamic changes in Northern Ireland's political and economic structure, social and cultural mentality, etc. under the background of Brexit, and thinking about its impact on Ireland's national constitutional structure, national identity, governance structure, economic and social life, and even the prospects of national unification, to provide important references for contemporary literary research. Professor Chen Li spoke on the topic of "The Origin and Resonance of Irish Modernism", exploring the changes in research fields and research paradigms brought about by the emergence of the new term "Irish Modernism", and used it as a starting point to think about the complex relationship between Irish Modernism and the Irish Renaissance in its origin period, as well as the continuous impact of this complex evolution on modernist literature in modern and contemporary Ireland.
